Technical writer / Plug-In Analyst
Providing an Eclipse distribution means to collect, try out, and evaluate a lot of Eclipse-based software (plug-ins). It is our goal to share what we learn during this process with the large and growing community of Eclipse adopters.
As a Technical Writer and Plug-In Analyst at Innoopract, you have the unique opportunity to know the universe of Eclipse plug-ins first-hand, and spread the word about what you've found out. You will be in touch with plug-in authors all over the world, from engaging individuals to teams in large companies that are committed to bringing Eclipse-based technology forward.
Applicants for this position should have excellent language and writing skills (in English and/or German), technical knowledge and a keen interest in trying out new things. This position involves experimenting with and exploring tools and technologies and intensively communicating with both its authors and its users.
Your responsibilities in this position are:
- Research and evaluate Eclipse-based software (Plug-Ins) and prepare it for inclusion in the Yoxos Open Source distribution
- Write technical articles for the Innoopract website, the Eclipse.org website and developer journals
- Communicate with plug-in authors about their software (including providing feedback from Innoopract about technical details, bug reports and feature requests and other results from evaluating it for the Yoxos open source distribution)
- Work together with the product development team at Innoopract to incorporate feedback from users and plug-in authors
- Work together with the support and marketing team at Innoopract to improve the user experience of the Yoxos distribution
